25 under 25
Announcing the new 25 Under 25 program As part of McLean County’s 2010 Global Youth Service Day celebration, we will proudly recognize the top 25 youth under the age of 25 who are making outstanding contributions to the community through service learning and leadership. This is the first year of this exciting program.
In order to be nominated, youth adults must:
- Be under the age of 25 on April 23, 2010
- Have demonstrated service to the community
- Have an interest in further developing leadership skills
- Be a resident of McLean County or be currently enrolled at a school in McLean County
The 25 under 25 program includes these opportunities:
- Pairing with a local community leader who will serve as a mentor for one year
- Joining group service projects
- Participating in leadership workshops
- Meeting elected officials and important community stakeholders
- Supporting the new Youth Fund and providing mini-grants
- Planning GYSD 2011 and selecting the 2011 25 Under 25
How it works:
- To nominate an individual online please click here
- Nominations will only be accepted February 15 – March 15, 2010
- All nominees will be asked to complete a short questionnaire via email by March 31
- The advisory committee selects the 25 Under 25 and all nominees will be notified by April 7
- The 25 Under 25 will be featured at the Global Youth Service Day Service Celebration and in local media and our website www.youthservicemcleancounty.org
