What is 25 under 25?
- 25 under 25 is a group of youth service leaders in McLean County that are recognized for their contributions and provide leadership for others in the community.
Who is eligible?
- To be nominated for 25 under 25, an individual must live and/or be a student in McLean County. This includes elementary, junior high, high school, and college levels. The school may be a public, private, alternative, or home school.
What will the 25 under 25 group do in the community?
- This group will provide leadership for Global Youth Service Day, participate in Summer of Service, and coordinate other youth service activities in the community.
What is the term of the commitment?
- 25 under 25 groups will be announced annually at Global Youth Service Day (April). The group will serve in their capacity for one year until the next group is announced the following April.
How are adults involved?
- 25 under 25 is facilitated by Illinois State University and Illinois Wesleyan University in partnership with State Farm and GYSD McLean County. Individuals from all of these and other organizations serve in an advisory capacity.
